Free all-ages jazz concert under the stars
JUPITERS will host a free outdoor concert on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Titled Swing Under the Stars, the event will be headlined by rising jazz musician Liam Burrows of Australia’s Got Talent fame.
Jupiters marketing manager Sarah Butler said the concert would be held under the stars on the Jupiters poolside lawns.
“We have the perfect weather up here to be able to hold outdoor events. This one will be a relaxing evening of great music under the stars,” Ms Butler said.
Ms Butler said Jupiters hoped to attract a large crowd to the free all-ages event.
“The fact that it is free will certainly be a drawcard. It’s not often that revellers can enjoy a free concert so we hope that the Townsville people show their support and come down to enjoy what is set to be an awesome event with quality entertainers.”
Ms Butler said some seating would be provided at the event and there would also be plenty of delicious food and beverages available for purchase.
“The evening will also include a performance by local jazz trio Sugar.”
Ms Butler said Jupiters would be a hive of activity over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
“Swing Under the Stars will follow the AC/DC tribute show Thunderstruck that will be held at the same location the night prior. Friday night will see the start of a large gaming promotion we are running through June where a casino patron will win a European river cruise worth over $30,000 and to top it off we will also have live music in the Lobby Bar on Friday and Saturday night.”
Swing Under the Stars featuring Liam Burrows will be held at Jupiters’ Poolside Lawns on Sunday 8 June. Gates open at 3.00pm and entry is free.
