Cowboys clash in Casino charity poker tournament

TEN North Queensland Cowboys players will go head-to-head with Casino patrons in the annual celebrity charity poker tournament at Jupiters tomorrow.

The event will coincide with the announcement that Jupiters will continue its major sponsorship of the Cowboys for a further two years.

Chief Operating Officer Will Keiler said Jupiters had been a part of the Cowboys team for 12 years.
“We consider the Cowboys to be a part of the Jupiters family and we’re very pleased to recommit our partnership with the club,” Keiler said.
“Jupiters and the Cowboys have shared over a decade of experiences together and we look forward to continuing this partnership over the next two seasons,” he said.

As part of the agreement, Jupiters will again be the exclusive accommodation provider of the Cowboys and the destination for their premier events.

“This partnership will allow us to continue showcasing our award-winning accommodation, restaurants and event facilities to the corporate and fan base of the NQ Cowboys.”

Cowboys CEO Peter Jourdain said the NRL club was delighted that Jupiters had added another two years to their partnership.

“Our close association with Jupiters is entering its second decade so there’s no doubt that they are one of the biggest supporters of the Cowboys,” Mr Jourdain said.
“We greatly appreciate the loyalty and support they continue to show to the Cowboys and look forward to having them with us for at least another two years.”

The Cowboys have established themselves as community leaders in our region and remain a favourite of the North’s sporting teams.

“We take great pride in being able to support the Cowboys and look forward to a very successful 2013 season,” Keiler said.

The poker tournament winner will be given the opportunity to donate $500 cash on behalf of Jupiters to a charity of their choice.
